Environmentally friendly logistics? It's possible!

Nearly 80% of respondents to "The 2017 Climate Survey. Evaluating Progress on Climate Change" believe that companies should successively reduce carbon consumption in the supply chain. At Venax, we focus on green logistics, which focuses on reducing the environmental impact of transportation services. See how we operate!

The logistics industry needs to change

Transportation now accounts for half of the world's oil consumption and nearly 20% of the world's energy consumption, with nearly 40% associated with urban transportation. The International Energy Agency expects these numbers to increase steadily until 2050, mainly due to online shopping.

As a result, the logistics industry must find a more innovative way to distribute goods while balancing economic growth and conservation of natural resources.

Reports from the World Health Organization (WHO) indicate that more than 70% of the most polluted cities in the European Union lie in Poland. The problem is serious, and one of the main reasons for this turns out to be automobile traffic.

At Venax, we are aware of the seriousness of the situation, which is why we are systematically implementing modern green logistics solutions. We rely on low-emission transport, and all vehicles in our fleet meet the demanding EURO6 emission standards. As a result, we have significantly reduced carbon dioxide emissions to an acceptable level.

Our actions

The green logistics implemented by Venax aims to, among other things, measure the carbon footprint of logistics operations, reduce air, soil and water pollution, and make judicious use of raw materials. In practice, this means optimizing transportation through the proper selection of trailers and reducing unloaded trips.

To date, we have expanded our product range to include:

Double Deck trailers, which allow stacking of pallets;

City Liner trailers, which allow tractor-trailers to enter city centers and allow loading of up to 10 pallets more than classic vans;

swap body containers that can be combined into tandems.

Thanks to these and other solutions, we can optimize the loading space and reduce the courses to the necessary minimum.

How to combine efficiency with environmental protection?

Companies betting on a greener economy must choose to what extent they can implement solutions that take into account the environmental impact of their operations. The new strategies are likely to translate into operations for all logistics companies that choose to take this step.

The challenge is to find solutions that balance all the important issues, including reducing costs, improving service levels and reducing the carbon footprint of logistics operations.

At Venax, we are aware of the environmental impact of logistics operations. That's why we are constantly implementing technologies and procedures that help reduce the carbon footprint of our vehicles. In addition, we employ sustainable strategies in all our solutions and meet the highest industry standards.
